How to play
Play one card each turn. If it adds up to exactly 15 with one or more cards on the table, take them. Clearing the table is an escoba and scores a point. Each hand also scores a point each for most cards, most Oros, the Siete de Oro and the sevens. The full rules and controls are in the app under the book icon.
Playing online
- Online games use Apple Game Center. Sign in under iPhone Settings › Game Center.
- Tap Invite friends / find players to start a 2, 3 or 2-vs-2 table. Bots fill any empty seats.
- Everyone at the table needs Escoba Uruguaya installed. The host's table rules apply.
Common fixes
- Online button is greyed out: sign in to Game Center, then reopen the app.
- A player left mid-game: a bot takes their seat so the game can finish.
Privacy policy
Effective October 14, 2026
Escoba Uruguaya has no ads, analytics or tracking, and never sells or shares your information. To run leaderboards and the monthly championship, the app stores a small amount of game information in the app's iCloud database.
What we store
- Your Game Center player ID, used to tell players apart.
- The player name and avatar you choose in the app.
- Your game results against the computer (games, wins, points, escobas), and your championship sign-ups and match results.
This information is shown to other players on the leaderboards and championship bracket. It is used only to run these features. If you don't sign in to Game Center, nothing is stored. Player names are filtered for offensive words.
What stays on your device
Your settings (table rules, deck choice, sound and animation preferences) are saved only on your device and are removed when you delete the app.
Online play
Multiplayer games run through Apple Game Center. Apple's handling of Game Center and iCloud data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Deleting your data
To have your stored name, avatar and results removed, email [email protected] and we'll delete them.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. It does not ask for anyone's real name, email or location.
